Meet Cait
Hi, I’m Cait (like Kate), and I’m so glad you are here.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works to ensure you are fully seen and understood. Life often throws us curveballs, and, while we are amazing at adapting, sometimes those adaptive strategies don’t serve us in the long run. My goal in therapy is always for clients to connect with their most authentic self and live their life in line with their values and desires.
I hold a B.S. in Nutrition and Health Sciences (I’m not a dietitian, though) which I integrate in all of my practices, especially when working with individuals with eating disorders. Through this education, I grew my knowledge of nutrition, the mind-body connection, and the psychology of food. While obtaining my M.S.W. from Columbia University, I trained specifically with adolescents and individuals with eating disorders. This foundation, in addition to my time in medical social work, guides my therapeutic style and approach.
I’ve worked in a variety of therapeutic settings; each of these has show me the same concept: life is better lived when we don’t have to carry our shame and don’t feel so alone. I’m here to hold your burdens and help let your true self shine.

My Approach
Therapy is a beautiful practice, and I know first-hand how transformative effective mental health therapy can be. I practice a mix of evidenced-based practices to ensure each client is receiving the highest quality care for their needs and goals.
Often, we will start with skills-based work, mostly from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to help you regain control of your emotions and reactions. From there, I tie in attachment-based therapy, existential therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy to dive deeper into your past and present selves.
Throughout all therapeutic work, I practice relational therapy, which utilizes the client-therapist relationship as a model for safe, secure relationships. I accomplish this through transparent conversation, authenticity, and genuine care for each of my clients.
I practice from a culturally-aware and trauma-informed perspective. Individuals of all races, body types, body sizes, cultures, gender identities, sexual orientations, and other backgrounds are welcomed and celebrated at Here Wellness.
“Not until we are lost do we begin to understand ourselves.”
My Values in Therapy
01.
Full Presence Each Session
My role in the therapy room is to be fully present and attuned to you throughout our session. I believe genuine connection and empathy can transform. I’m here to be here with you wherever your life takes you. We will work from where you are at each session, not on a prescribed timeline.
02.
A Nonjudgemental Space
Therapy at Here Wellness is always rooted in a nonjudgemental approach, where you are welcomed and celebrated just as you are today. I strongly believe that all clients are capable of making the changes they would like in their life, no matter what their past has looked like.
03.
Holistic Understanding
I don’t just take into account the person sitting in front of me in sessions. Instead, I practice from a systems perspective that includes a client’s physical health, relationship and family dynamics, school or work impacts, and cultural and political impacts. When appropriate, I utilize my B.S. in Nutrition to inform my practices, especially with clients struggling with disordered eating.
04.
Growth At Your Own Pace
I do not believe everyone has the same end goals in therapy and find there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach to working with mental health concerns. Every session I promise to meet you where you are at that day. You are the expert of your timeline—I am here to walk alongside you.
